Legume Day at Paradis Kids: Planting the Seeds of Curiosity

On February 10th, in celebration of World Pulses Day, the students of Paradis Kids School rolled up their sleeves and dug into the soil for a joyful and educational vegetable planting activity. Guided by all their teachers, the children experienced a rich moment of discovery, learning, and teamwork.

🧠 Learning by Doing: A Hands-On and Mindful Approach

True to its philosophy of experiential learning, Paradis Kids turned this special day into an opportunity to connect children with nature. Through planting legumes, the students explored the growth cycle, learned about the nutritional benefits of pulses, and understood their role in sustainable farming.

Every teacher enthusiastically led their group through each step — observing the seeds, preparing the soil, planting, watering, and labeling their pots. This teamwork helped reinforce bonds between students and teachers while creating a joyful, collaborative learning environment.

🌍 Values Sown from the Earliest Age

Beyond the academic side, the activity cultivated essential values such as patience, care for living things, teamwork, and responsibility. In the coming days, the children will continue caring for their seedlings at school — learning that growth, just like learning, requires time, attention, and curiosity.

The pots, now carefully placed in a special area at school, will continue to evolve before the children’s eyes, allowing them to witness firsthand the magic of nature at work.

✨ Awakening from the Roots to the Mind

This project activated many skills: fine motor coordination, vocabulary related to nature, scientific thinking, and emotional expression. Each child engaged in their own way, asking questions, making guesses, and — most importantly — feeling proud of growing something real and alive.

Following the growth of these plants will extend the learning experience and help children better understand the natural cycles of life.

Thanks to a united and dedicated teaching team, this day became a springboard toward greater ecological awareness and confidence-building.

Because at Paradis Kids, planting a seed is about much more than growing vegetables — it’s about growing tomorrow with joy and hope.
