a creative fashion show to celebrate Africa and self-confidence

✨ A day like no other…

Last Friday, the Paradis Kids school was transformed into a veritable Mecca of creativity and culture!
Our students took part in a unique event: the “Paradis Kids Mode” day, dedicated to the discovery of African textiles, clothing design and a colorful fashion show.

Right from the start, the children were immersed in a world of fabrics, beads and ribbons.

🎨 Learning by creating: an active teaching approach

This project is fully in line with our desire to promote children’s autonomy, curiosity and self-expression. Through this activity, children :

• explored their artistic sense by drawing their own models,
• honed their fine motor skills by manipulating fabrics and scissors,
• learn to work as a team, cooperate and listen to each other,
• boosted their confidence by taking to the stage in front of their peers and teachers.

Each creation was unique, in the image of the child who had imagined it.

🌍 Celebrating cultural identity from an early age

By highlighting African fabrics, the day was also an opportunity to raise awareness of the richness of Africa’s cultural heritage. They discovered the symbols found on fabrics, the origins of certain fabrics, and the importance of transmission through clothing.

A true moment ofcultural awakening, accessible from kindergarten, to value diversity and cultivate pride in one’s roots.

💃 The big moment: the fashion show

In the afternoon, our little models took to the catwalk in a joyous, festive atmosphere, each proudly displaying his or her creation. With smiles, applause and lively music, it was a moment filled with emotion and pride.

The children shone not only with their outfits, but above all with their joy of learning in a new way.
